Tampere Landmarks and Monuments: Picture of the City Library (Metso)More of a needle in appearance than an actual tower, the Tampere Näsinneula has become a famous landmark throughout Scandinavia, where it is amongst the tallest of all the Nordic observation towers and a monument to the present day. The Central Square (Keskustori) is where it all happens in Tampere and is surrounded by more historical landmarks, such as the Town Hall (Raatihuone).

The Tampereen Tuomiokirkko (cathedral) has been one of the city's most loved landmarks for many years, since it was completed in 1907, and is currently the seat of the Tampere Diocese. Other notable churches include both the Kalevan Kirkko on the Liisanpuisto, and the Ortodoksinen Kirkko on the Suvantokatu.
