The Pirkkala Golf Course is a relatively new addition to Finland's golfing scene and opened in July 2005, after around five years of planning and construction. Now a championship course with 18 holes and a driving range measuring almost 300 metres / 985 feet, the club is around 15 km / 9 miles to the south of central Tampere and is also conveniently close to Pirkkala Airport.

Located just outside of Tampere and within the small Finnish town of Nokia, the River Club features a total of 27 holes, which can be played as an 18-hole and separate nine-hole course. The Tammer Golf Club is to be found on the eastern side of Tampere, in the nearby Ruotula area, and was established in the mid-1960s. Spectacular views and water hazards are amongst the main highlights here, along with a driving range, pitch and putt, and a clubhouse, complete with restaurant.
